Matyi spent 16 years at Nemzeti Sport, the only Hungarian daily sports newspaper.

He started out as a journalist and then became the deputy editor of the football department, where he gained valuable experience in organizing and leading a team. Matyi has made his presence known in countless other places in sports media, including tv- and radio shows. He has also  occasionally written English articles for international newspapers.  Matyi loves to spend his free time with his family, but he is also interested in history, football, writing, and culture as well. Matyi has been the  Bilingual Program Manager at Európa 2000 High School since January 2023.
