From the island, Benedict moved to the University of Warwick, where he studied pure mathematics, obtaining the degrees of MMath and PhD.
While studying for his masters and PhD, he taught numerous seminars and support classes for mathematics undergraduates, as well as a placement in Rugby High School. After his PhD, he moved to Budapest, where he worked as a young researcher at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics for 3 years.
He is very excited to be teaching mathematics at Europa 2000 this year, having spent a year at ÓNL-Váradi. His approach to teaching is about creating a classroom atmosphere where students can make mistakes (in English and maths), grow and feel good about it!
When he is not teaching, Benedict can be found dancing, practising tai chi, baking, or growing squashes.
