Alyson Haley

Teacher ALYSON.HALEY@BILINGUAL.HU

Alyson was raised in Central Massachusetts and spent much of her childhood in the lakes region of Maine.

She discovered her passion for teaching early on, gaining experience in various instructional roles, including dance and swim lessons, as well as tutoring. These experiences led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education and Spanish from the University of Maine. Alyson holds teaching licenses in both Massachusetts and Maine for grades 5–12 English Language Arts and has taught in a variety of middle and high school classrooms. She has extensive experience working with English Language Learners (ELLs), supporting students in diverse settings—from her high school classrooms to preschools in Iquitos, Peru, and Antigua, Guatemala. She also worked with university students at the University of Maine and the University of Brighton, where she studied in 2020.

Passionate about language and literacy education, Alyson continually seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and refine her teaching practice. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cafés, reading, practicing yoga, and immersing herself in different cultures with friends.
