Sammy comes from a military family, so she moved around the United States quite a bit in her childhood. She attended university in Alabama and Utah. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in History Education with a minor in TESOL. Sammy taught 7th and 8th grade history and ESL for three years in Utah and two years in Alabama. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, reading, and cycling. She values optimism, positivity, and curiosity. Sammy is passionate about teaching and working with students to accomplish their goals. In particular, she loves incorporating technology into the classroom in order to give students access to diverse resources, ability to express creativity, make real world connections, and prepare students for a modern workplace.
