Anna Felinger

Teacher Trainer varadi.koordinator@bilingual.hu

Though born in Hungary, Anna was introduced to English at the age of two, before fully learning Hungarian. She spent her early formative years in the United States. After returning to Hungary, she had to relearn Hungarian, and later, when her family moved back to the United States during her high school years, she found…

She completed her secondary education at a Hungarian-English bilingual school before earning a Master’s degree in Teaching both English and Hungarian at ELTE. She has also completed teacher training courses with Cambridge and Trinity College London.

Over the past fifteen years, Anna has taught learners of all ages in a variety of educational settings. She spent ten years at the British Council before joining Bilingual as a Teacher Trainer. Drawing on her own language-learning journey, she is passionate about helping teachers and learners to build confidence, and to enjoy the process along the way. As an avid reader, she also believes that stories and literature have a unique way of opening doors to language and understanding.

Outside of teaching, she spends most of her time with her two young American-Hungarian bilingual sons. She also loves travelling, playing the violin, and running.
