This&nbsp;<strong>knowledge is very useful<\/strong>&nbsp;in the field of studies, but it can also come in handy in settling arguments in the workplace as well as in one\u2019s private life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Oxford Union Society\u2019s annual Oxford Schools competition is one of the&nbsp;<strong>most outstanding British Parliamentary school-level debating competitions<\/strong>&nbsp;in the world, with the finals taking place in Oxford. The competition offers students aged 14 and above an excellent&nbsp;<strong>opportunity to develop their skills and confidence<\/strong>&nbsp;in public speaking, well-thought-out argumentation and analytical problem-solving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Anna\u2019s Eur\u00f3pa2000 High School students, Tarcsai Korinna, Herner Minka, Jelinek \u00c9va and the Bilingual Alumni (students who have completed the elementary school program), Gy\u00f6rke D\u00e1niel and Szab\u00f3 Soma participated in the Oxford debate competition&nbsp;<strong>Hungary Round<\/strong>&nbsp;on Saturday, the&nbsp;<strong>18th of January, 2020<\/strong>. While the majority of the students participating in the debate have clearly been learning how to debate for an extended period of time, the enthusiastic team of Bilingual students entered the competition after a single preparatory session. All of the students did remarkably well, in fact, the Bilingual Alumni team went on to the 2nd round. Based on the participating students\u2019 words, debating is also an excellent practice for B2 and even the C1 level&nbsp;<strong>English language exam preparation<\/strong>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Anna will soon announce the&nbsp;<strong>Bilingual Debate Club&nbsp;<\/strong>at Eur\u00f3pa 2000 High School for Bilingual and Bilingual Alumni high school students to attend, so that &#8211; if they feel like competing next year &#8211; they can do well not only here, but at the Oxford finals as well.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opportunity for the&nbsp;<strong>15 and under age group<\/strong>&nbsp;is also here, to test their skills and possibly even make it to the Cambridge competition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(those who are not yet 16 years old by August 31, 2020)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; On&nbsp;<strong>January 25th, 2020 at 3pm<\/strong>&nbsp;there is a preparatory session at the Milestone Institute (1062 Budapest, Bajza street 44.), where participating in the audience or as an active member in a trial debate are both possible.
