Every spring starting in Grade 2 the Bilingual Program administers a Cambridge Final Exam as an <strong>external benchmarking tool<\/strong>. We use official test materials and run the exams under strict testing conditions. For Grade 8, the relevant exam is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cambridgeenglish.org\/exams\/first-for-schools\/\">Cambridge First for Schools (FCE) at level B2<\/a>. The Council will deliver final results two to three weeks after the mock exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information please see the following:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bilingual.hu\/app\/uploads\/2025\/02\/180143-information-for-candidates-first-for-schools-2015.pdf\">Information for Candidates&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bilingual.hu\/app\/uploads\/2025\/02\/171593-cambridge-english-first-for-schools-brief-exam-guide.pdf\">Brief Exam Guide<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>If my child has taken a Cambridge B2 exam in the last few months, does he\/she still need to take the mock exam?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. All 8th grade students are required to take the Mock Exam, which is the final milestone in the English language development of students in the Bilingual Program. The results of the mock exams provide us with critical data to measure the success of the Program in the primary schools. Moreover, our teachers are still working hard to raise the level of each student\u2019s English, and the information from this mock exam will help them hone their work and do their best for the kids through the very end of 8th grade. Moreover, if you have NOT taken a Cambridge B2 exam in the last few months, the results of this mock exam can help students and their families decide whether to sign up for our next official exam with the British Council. Pairs are formed prior to exam day by the Bilingual Program main class teacher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The speaking exam sessions may run later than scheduled, or may finish earlier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There will not be any further classes or tutorials after the exam on February 26th.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>What else should I know about the schedule for February 26th?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to have enough time to prepare for the start of the exam, students are expected to <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\"><strong>arrive at the school no later than 7:30<\/strong> <\/mark>on the day of the exam. <strong>The exam begins at 8:00 sharp.<\/strong> Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring three pens. Please make sure to have water on hand, as it is not permissible to leave the room during the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After the mock exam results arrive, what\u2019s the next step?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If, based on your child\u2019s mock exam score, you decide to sit for the official First for Schools (FCE) B2 Exam:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You willcontact the British Council directly to register for our <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">exclusive<\/mark> Cambridge B2<\/strong> exam session, reserved for <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Bilingual Program students only.<\/mark><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This exclusive Cambridge B2 exam session will be: <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">May 31, 2025<\/mark><\/strong><ul><li><strong>Speaking Exam: Saturday, May 31, 2025<\/strong> (in the afternoon)<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Written Exam: Saturday, <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">May 31, 2025<\/mark><\/strong> (paper-based)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Registration Deadline:&nbsp;<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Sunday, April 6, 2025<\/mark>, midnight<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/nYVaeRAHfqp9pXg97\"><strong>Registration link<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Please note that registration and payment are the family\u2019s responsibility<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Is the Cambridge B2 First for Schools Exam valid in Hungary?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">All Cambridge exams<\/mark><\/strong> (whether \u201cFor Schools\u201d or for adults) at levels B1, B2 and C1 are <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">accepted in<\/mark> Hungary<\/strong> as equivalent to the State-recognized, accredited language examinations systems in Hungary, as per this government decree on language examinations &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/net.jogtar.hu\/jogszabaly?docid=a0800137.kor\">137\/2008. (V.16.)
