She spent her early formative years in the United States. After returning to Hungary, she had to relearn Hungarian, and later, when her family moved back to the United States during her high school years, she found herself also having to rebuild her confidence in English too. These experiences gave her a first-hand understanding of what it feels like to navigate between languages and cultures, and inspired her to become a teacher of both languages.
