For me, teaching in Hungary has been the best experience of my life. I love the community I teach in: my co-workers (English and Hungarian), the students, and the city life.

I’m now going on four years in Budapest, and I feel like my experience teaching now is completely the opposite of what it was.

What I most like about it is the people around me every day: the native English-speaking teachers with all the variety from all over the world and my coordinator and back-office colleagues, among whom I can even find friends I’ve known since my childhood.

I find myself to be incredibly fortunate to do a job that I love, teaching amazing young minds, in a city as beautiful as Budapest, with a group of co-workers as fun and supportive as they are.

I really enjoy the co-teaching aspect of the program because it allows me to see different teaching styles and improve my own teaching skills by working with an experienced Hungarian teacher.

I am rewarded every day with the personalities of, and the progress I see in, my students.

I am very grateful for the opportunity Bilingual has given me to develop and improve my skills as a coordinator, which would not have been possible without the feedback from my supervisors.

Learning about a foreign culture from the inside is a great challenge with great rewards, and that's especially true when teaching in a public school.

I have loved teaching for years now but Bilingual is special.

A key factor in my decision to choose Bilingual was the ample amount of support they offered at first arrival. They were there every step of the way beginning with your pick-up from the airport and on to taking you to your new home.

I can say that the Bilingual program has really upped the standards for what an overseas teaching position should be like, especially because of the support they have offered throughout the program.

Learning to teach in a co-teaching environment was a sometimes confusing and intimidating process. But my Team Leader has always been there for me when I needed support, so now I would say that working in a co-teaching environment has proved to be the best experience I have yet to be exposed to.

Moving to Hungary to teach with Bilingual has been the best adventure of my life.

I feel very lucky to be working at the school where I am because I have all the resources and support I need at my fingertips.

Working with co-teachers was also a huge shift, but I have found that my Hungarian counterparts have been incredibly helpful and understanding as I worked through adjusting to this new system.

My co-teachers have supported and encouraged me since I began working with them 2 years ago.

Whenever I had questions or felt overwhelmed, I was met with support and mentorship from my manager, co-teachers and Bilingual colleagues who had been here for longer.

…my willingness to learn paired with Bilingual’s extensive training program and support throughout the whole process equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to teach the children in my classroom everything they need to know and more.

Now from experience, I can truly say that this style of teaching works and produces amazing results.
