Kayla Dakoske

Kayla Dakoske grew up in the United States in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2016, she graduated from Calvin College with her bachelor’s degree in psychology, and minors in art and social work. While in university, Kayla often volunteered in after-school programs working with children of bilingual families and later became an adolescent care provider in a mental health hospital.

After graduating from university, she chose to pursue an opportunity in education and became a preschool teaching assistant.  Kayla completed a year with these students and then decided to continue her teaching career outside of the country.  She completed her TEFL certification, moved to Budapest, Hungary, and started working for Bilingual in 2017.  Although she only planned on staying in the country for a year, Kayla fell in love with the city and is now going on her fifth year of living and teaching here.

She is excited to keep making connections with her students and hopes to help empower them to continuously learn and grow. Outside of these interests she enjoys art and spending time in the outdoors through hiking and camping.
