Ritók Nóra art workshop

At Bilingual.hu we are always seeking to create the best possible learning environment for our students. As part of that, we are always on the lookout for ways of teaching that aid in the children’s personal development as well, as we would like all the students in our program to be happy, self-confident and successful individuals.

With the above goals in mind, art teachers from all our schools – both native speakers of English and Hungarian co-teachers – came together to train with one of Hungary’s renowned art teachers: Ritók Nóra.

Our goal was to equip our art teachers with tools to help them individualize their pedagogical methods – to focus in on students’ inner lives, their feelings and their imaginations, all the while focusing on social competencies, group dynamics and community-building. Ms Ritók offered theoretical knowledge, through the lens of visual arts, to help better identify children’s needs and directions for social development. The workshop was also hands-on, and offered teachers a wide range of creative tasks designed to be particularly effective in strengthening self-confidence and a sense of self-worth, as well as the development of cooperative skills.

We believe the training was a success, judging from the artwork out students produced in the weeks following the workshop. Many thanks once again to Ritók Nóra – we have high hopes we will be able to work with her again in the future.
